What we do
Independent stock counts and valuations for retailers, licensed premises, postmasters and warehouse operators. Every service is quoted at a fixed price and reported the same day.
Nothing is estimated or extrapolated. Each distinct line is counted and recorded, which is what makes the resulting figure defensible.
Barcode scanning keeps counts fast and accurate. Lines that are not barcoded to UK EPOS standards are entered manually against a priced list.
Counts are scheduled before opening, after close or overnight so your trade is not interrupted and customers are not worked around.
Different premises need different approaches. Pick the closest match below, or call us and we will tell you which applies.

We quote on the number of distinct lines you carry, not the floor area of the premises. A compact shop carrying three thousand lines is a longer job than a larger one carrying eight hundred, and pricing on line count is the honest way to reflect that.
The price is fixed before we attend and includes travel. We will not quote a figure and then add mileage, parking or zone charges to the invoice afterwards. If the premises turns out to be materially different from what was described, we will tell you before starting rather than after finishing.
A written valuation, issued on the day of the count, in a format your accountant or solicitor can work from directly. Stock is valued at the lower of cost or net realisable value, with the basis stated and any write-down shown separately rather than absorbed into the total.
On a business transfer we issue a stock certificate to both parties, which is the document solicitors use to release funds. On a year end count you get a line-by-line schedule your accountant can stand behind if the accounts are ever queried.
The same four steps apply whether we are counting a corner shop or a distribution warehouse. Only the scale and the team size change.
The type of business, roughly how many distinct lines you carry, and the date you need. That is enough for a fixed price.
Counts run outside trading hours wherever possible — before opening, after close or overnight — so your trade is not interrupted.
Every distinct line, scanned where barcoded and entered manually where not. Nothing is sampled, estimated or rounded up.
A written valuation the same day, with the basis shown, ready for your accountant or solicitor to work from.
